I can’t thank everyone enough for your wonderful comments on my 2 year blogaversary! I was just emailing pubsgal, and saying that I love how I come across as the neighbor you’d like to hang out with or borrow a cup of sugar from. And I love how everyone else views their blog buddies as friends! This is such an open and wonderful community, and I am just happy to be a small part of it. Thank you!
When Tony and I went to the grocery store last week, I found yet another low carb wrap:
So you know I had to make an egg wrap! 1/2 cup egg whites, 2 ounces ham, cup of baby spinach, 1 ounce cheese with an apple on the side.
At lunch I ended up doing 30 minutes on the stairmaster on level 11 – I hit the interval button and I liked the workout – for 2 minutes it goes really fast, then gives you a minute rest in between.
Then I did a 3.3 mile bike ride on the bike machine – I beat the pacer bike by 3 minutes!
I love how Jen shows pictures on her blogs of people getting their sweat on. I plan on submitting this picture to her. I love how saggy my left boob is – ha!
Lunch was leftover pasta, although I made this into a soup. 1 cup pasta, 1/2 cup of my bolognese sauce, 1/2 cup chicken broth, 2 ounces tofu, 1/2 a cup of cottage cheese and 1 ounce mozzarella cheese. It was hot, gooey – even the cottage cheese melted! It was absolutely delicious. Oh, and I added crushed red pepper to spicy up the broth.
I know I’ve talked about it before, but the grocery store on my way home from work has a meat clearance bin. At 5:00 they put meat that has to be sold by that date at 50% off!
I got us two bone-in ribeyes for $6. While the meat was good, they were on the thin side, but still tasty. It was so windy outside that I actually grilled on our indoor grill on the stove. Dinner comes in at 482 calories, 37 carbs, 36 protein, 11.6 fat and 3.8 fiber.
I love our weather! Today’s high is only supposed to be 68 – it gets around 50 overnight – perfect sleeping weather.
Stats for Friday
- 1567 calories, 130 carbs, 132 protein, 63 fat, 23 fiber
- 35% of calories from fat

- 15 minute bike ride

On tap for today?

Do you like pepper jelly? Have a wonderful Saturday!
Just wanted to send a quick note to let you know I heart your picture 🙂
I have heard that the weather has been nice back in the States. SOmetimes I feel so far removed from “reality”. Hope you have a great weekend.
I love pepper jelly and have been wanting to make some with the last of my jalapenos – but have been putting it off since I’ve never made it before!
The first thing I noticed in the pic was the sunburn then the sweat:) I’m jealous of your weather right now won’t be so much later this year in the winter…Have never tried any kind of pepper jelly I guess I grew up in a deprived southern family…LOL
Trying to get back to working out this week feeling much better so no excuses:(
Um, who doesn’t love red pepper jelly? I mean really. It’s pretty amazing. My aunt makes a great one, and always gives me some at Christmas. Yum!
And don’t even get me started on being lopsided…I swear, my entire body is lopsided! HA!
You made me LOL about your boob! My left is a whole cup size bigger than my right and if that weren’t enough, I also store more fat on my left hip than my right and even the left side of my lower stomach. I’m a freak of nature. I have thicker hair on the left side of my head too. So weird! And my smile is wider on my left side and my left eye bigger. So yeah, things could be worse for you. LOL! I like jalapeno jelly but think regular bell pepper jelly is just OK. Did you see Sophia’s blog with the Texas Wild Grilled Cheese sandwich that had jalapeno jelly on it? I’m still daydreaming about it.
Yes, and my mouth watered too! 😀
I had to laugh at the boob sagging, I had the same problem in a picture taken on my birthday! I have seen those tortillas but have not bought them. I appreciate the review as I am always on the hunt for new healthy foods.
I was wondering where your breakfast pizza recipe is that people made comments about on yesterdays post. That sure sounds interesting.
I don’t think I have ever had pepper jelly. Sounds great though.

Let me know if you need more details! 😀
You are so funny – I didn’t even notice the boob because I was too mesmerized by the dividing line on your arm from your sunburn when Hannah graduated – dang, that was an impressive burn! You are going to have to get a pair of opera-length gloves and go out in the sun wearing them to get your upper arms matched to the lower! 😉
I know – I think I am forever going to have a farmers tan!!
thanks for the comment
gotta love the sweaty pics
keep up the amazing insprational work
hey Biz! We got our salsa yesterday! Andy and I are both really excited. It even looks like the Baja Fresh salsa. I am going to make a mexican-ish meal featuring the salsa. Also I’m sending you some of our favorite hot sauce. I’ll let you know when to expect it!
I love Jen’s blog and the sweat pictures too! I need to send her a pic!
I love jalapeno jelly on grilled cheese sandwiches. It’s so good!
Jalapeno jelly + cheese = YUM! I am definitely going to try that 😀
I need to try to find those wraps! We use tortillas for EVERYTHING! Mine have a good amount of protein and fiber and are 100 calories, I think it’s Santa Fe Tortilla Company, we get them in bulk at Costco.
I’m loving the weather too! Finally cooled down and in the 60’s and nice and sunny!
I love, love, love pepper jelly. My sister in law makes it and so does my mother in law and I was SO tempted to make it but I didn’t get to it.
My left boob sags too. 🙂
Did you like the tortilla?? I haven’t seen that one yet, I’ll have to be on the look out for those.
Have a great day in this GORGEOUS weather!!!!
Yep – they are on the chewy side, but I like them 😀
Hi Biz 🙂 Great post as usual!! I love those wraps. Great pic of yourself 🙂 Keep up the good work!! I sure wish the weather was like that here 🙁 Girl, I just love pepper jelly. I want to make some one day. I do a lot of canning myself. Have a good Saturday 🙂
