It was great that Hannah was able to play for our softball team last night – we ended up losing 3-0, but it was a good game. In years past we have been slaughtered on a routine basis, so we consider this a victory! And I had three singles – nice!
I slept in until 9:15 this morning – love that! We had talked about going out for breakfast last night. Hannah was still sleeping – I opened her door and said “Mama Rini’s” and she was up, dressed and ready to go in five minutes!
When we got home it was CLEANING TIME! We’ve been so busy these past few weekends, the house really needed a deep clean. While Tony worked on the lawn, Hannah and I cleaned the living room, dining room, bathroom and kitchen. I striped our bed and put on clean sheets, and several loads of laundry.
When Tony was just about done Hannah and I brought the screens up for our gazebo to officially christen the summer season! I got Tony a wireless speaker for our gazebo this year that can play either an iPod, radio, or the t.v. We’ll be able to listen to Sox games outside!
Of course, once Tony starts the mower, the frogs and toads come out of hiding!
Then we had a scare – Hannah and I were leaving to run errands when our neighbors were in a panic looking for their 2 year old son who wandered off. Hannah and I went down by the river to see if he was down there, he wasn’t. For some reason I thought to look by his grandparents house which is TWO BLOCKS AWAY and sure enough, there he was, waiting outside the locked gate, no shoes, but he had his red wagon!
The look on his mom’s face when she held him was priceless – she was crying, I almost started to cry – a happy ending!!
I picked up lunch on the way home – Mr. Beefy! My plate: Grilled Chicken Pita with BBQ sauce, 2 onion rings and a small handful of fries.
We also stopped at our local market to pick up tomatoes – .49 cents a pound! I plan on making www.pioneerwomancooks.com pasta sauce and homemade pasta for dinner tonight – I know its bbq season, but I wanted to use up stuff I had in the fridge before going to the store tomorrow.
So off to make pasta!! See you tonight! 😀
That is scary about that boy, I’m glad you found him!
I’ve seen that sauce before too, it looks so good!
You are a hero! And I can’t wait for your review of Pastor Ryan’s sauce either! I love him and Ree!
Oh man, I’ve lost my little boy before and it’s so scary. I’m glad you found him!
Ohh I’ve been drooling over Pastor Ryan’s homemade pasta and meat sauce all week – can’t wait to see how yours turns out!
How scary for your neighbors – glad you found him!!!
I’m so envious you and Hannah are cleaning buddies – I’m a social cleaner, it helps to have somebody doing it with me to motivate me – just like working out. You two wanna come over and help me?? 😉
I am too tired now! 😀
Everything’s better with Tobasco 🙂
Yikes that is scary about the boy! Glad you guys found him!!
