I flew too close to the sun with this recipe! In my mind it turned out amazing, um, not so much!
While I had hoped that while it didn’t look pretty, it would taste great, the texture of the refried beans made me think I was eating raw beef, even though the burger was cooked – and I could have added a TON more pickled peppers, I hardly tasted them. Oh well! Back to the drawing board on that one!
After dinner Hannah and I took Ed to the river and back. The mosquitos are already out in full force! Of course, this is the part of the river that was flooded, so its to be expected, I just didn’t think so early! Definitely time to put the gazebo up this weekend!
Just finished mopping the floor so I did this post while it dried. Off to chillax with Tony! See you tomorrow – Friday and a long weekend at that!
What’s “diabetic bread?” Inquiring minds want to know!
You have such a beautiful spot to walk Ed! Lucky dog!
I don’t eat meat right now (due to a bad experience with chicken 2 months ago) but Kath has a great recipe for a bean burger that I use. It’s really adaptable to whatever I feel like using at the time, and tastes awesome.
I love all your meals, and your photos
Sorry about the dinner 🙁 Ew to the mosquitoes!! I have to stock up on bug spray before I leave for camping because I hate those pesky critters!
aw, sorry about the burger! it sounded good and the corn looks PERFECT
Well at least it was still half decent enough for you to eat it and not waste it, right? You have to make mistakes in order to learn things. The idea sounded great, I love food experiments.
No way..I don’t believe anything you made sucked! Well, it DOES suck that you lost some of it on the grill. That would upset me!
Corn on the cob?! Summer is here!!
Aww sorry to hear about the burger 🙁 I really hate when that happens, I always feel like I wasted my time and all the ingredients so it bums me out doubly. Great idea, though! It’s that kind of thinking that lead us to a lot of things we know and love, so I guess there’s bound to be some mess ups along the way!
Great corn on the cob! We had some tonight too and BOY oh BOY was it good! So sweet and juicy!
