My backyard looks like a lake we’ve had so much rain and it looks like it will continue all day. And we have an hours drive to get to my mom’s concert – both Hannah and I don’t like driving in the rain so its a toss up at this point who is going to drive!
Hannah met her friends for a birthday breakfast at Panera – and as they were leaving she said they sang Happy Birthday to her really loud – she gets embarrased very easily! 😀
So while at the Japanese grocery store yesterday, we ended going by the Japanese bakery where we found the Green Tea Mousse that Hannah likes, only they had it in the form of a cake!
I didn’t end up getting out of bed until 10:00 this morning! (well, really 9:00). It’s just so dreary I don’t have the motivation to day anything. But I have to clean the kitchen and mop the floor before I leave for my mom’s concert and I know I won’t feel like doing it when I get back.
I ended up fixing an egg beater omelet with an ounce of shredded zucchini and an once of fresh mozzarella, with Tabasco.
Breakfast comes in at approximately: 355 calories, 13 fat and 23 carbs
And some other things I got: black sesame bread:
And Fuji Apples as big as my head!
But my favorite thing though is seeing all the Japanese products!
So I am off to do some cleaning and then get ready to go to my Mom’s concert this afternoon. Then out to dinner, so I probably won’t post until late tonight. I hope people out there have better weather than us!! See you tonight!
Happy Belated Bday Hannah! That green tea cake looks amazing!
Asian pears are much like a cross between the crunchiness of an apple with the flavor of a pear. Very good, IMO. They would probably be an awesome sub to apples on your breakfast sammies! BTW…havarti and granny smiths are amazing! I did them as little bruschettas the other night. A hit!
Wow the green tea mousse sounds interesting.
I love Fuji apples, especially big ones, but I cannot spend that much on them, that is for sure. Oh, and all the Asian Pears I have had have been very crisp, not soft at all. That is part of why I like them so much.
those apples are crazy expensive! they must be somehow magical and amazing if they cost that much. i’m skeptical.
but i have to say, those baked goods look heavenly. i’m with you–i love asian bakeries and looking at japanese products!
Wow, $3.50 per apple – I wouldn’t be able to bring myself to spend that either!
Those apples are HUGE!

That green tea mousse looks so great! And I didn’t touch the computer yesterday so happy Belated Birthday Hannah!
i love japanese markets, too, but wow, those are some pricy apples! what is in that cannoli? i’ve missed your posts 🙂
Hahaha, love your random finds!
The spinach and bacon roll looks tasty!
Those are some expensive apples!! I keep thinking that about the rain but after this past winter, at least it’s not snow!!
