So this gourmet grocery store by my office is closing its retail business and I had ordered THE BEST salami from them, because it is amazing. I bought some for my parents-in-law at Christmas and they ate it, and finished it before they even got home! I am sending them some more today!
So while I was there picking the salami up, I got a couple more things, as everything was 75% off:
Behind Tabasco sauce, mustard is my favorite condiment. To show you just how much Tony loves me, he drove me to Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin to go the the Mustard Museum! He bought a T-shirt there that says “Poupon U!”
So lunch altogether comes in at 485 calories, 18 grams fat and 60 carbs.
Now I hope you are sitting down before you read this! We are not having Party Pizza Friday tonight! I know, I can hardly believe it myself! But its the first Friday of lent, and I don’t think Tony would go for an all veggie pizza! So come back tonight for shrimp tacos!
I never used to like dark chocolate either, but I’ve really come around to it. That chocolate bar looks pretty tasty, and you can’t go wrong with the price!
That was fantastic salami. We were just going to taste it on our trip home and ate the whole thing pronto,. Thank you so much. We are looking forward to having it again. This time I will carefully get the label off and see where I can buy it. There has to be an outlet for it somewhere.
what great deals on fabulous finds!
wow, great close-out sales!! you’re always getting these amazing deals on gourmet foods!
Oooo, yummy! Dark chocolate has become the cacao of choice for me. Milk chocolate, which I used to love, just tastes too darn sugary these days. That Mon Cherry bar looks heavenly.
*gasp*! No pizza? Actually, I understand. Cheese pizza Fridays are almost as bad as giving up chocolate. 😉
Oh, and I loved the “happy meal” story over on Charlie’s blog. You are a GENIUS!!! I’ll have to use that one on my kids.
Dagoba is one of my fav’s…I’ve never tried mon cherri. Lucky you.
ooh, that chocolate looks so good!
i love fish/shrimp tacos 🙂
One dollar for chocolate? I want some!
shrimp tacos sounds good too! 😀
