Cheesy Breadsticks
I have to be honest, I think I’ve only had Domino’s cheesy breadsticks once. Not that I didn’t love them, but I’d rather eat pizza. That is more insulin worthy! These breadsticks can definitely be incorporated into your Weight Watchers journey or macros.
But I found myself with a batch of sourdough bread, and wanted to make something other than a loaf of bread, and this could not be easier. Fun fact, you don’t need sourdough for this recipe. You can use store bought pizza dough, or make a batch of skinny pizza dough. You’ll need about a pound of dough for these fluffy cheesy breadsticks.
Ingredients
- pizza dough (or sourdough)
- mozzarella cheese
- colby jack cheese (or other cheese of choice)
- butter
- seasonings: dried parsley, oregano and garlic powder

Cheesy Bread Sticks
Hannah loves Domino's cheesy bread sticks and these turned out amazing. Feel free to use a batch of your own sourdough, store bought pizza dough, or a batch of Skinny Pizza Dough.
Ingredients
- Dough Options
- Use one of the following:
- Store-bought pizza dough
- Homemade Skinny Pizza Dough
- Sourdough bread dough (recipe below)
- Sourdough Bread Dough (if using):
- 1000 grams flour
- 720 grams water
- 200 grams sourdough starter
- 20 grams salt
- Note: Use dough after overnight bulk fermentation. This recipe uses half of the dough.
- Pizza dough of choice (about 1 pound or half sourdough batch)
- 3 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
- 3 ounces shredded Colby Jack cheese
- Garlic Butter Topping
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
Instructions
Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Roll out dough into a large rectangle, about ¼-inch thick.
Add mozzarella evenly over one half of the rectangle.
Fold dough over the cheese to create a long rectangle. Crimp or press edges to seal.
Top with Colby Jack cheese, spreading evenly over the surface.
Cut into 8 breadsticks using a pizza cutter, keeping the rectangle intact (do not separate).
Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
Make garlic butter while baking: melt butter and stir in parsley, garlic powder, and oregano.
Brush garlic butter evenly over the breadsticks immediately after removing from the oven.
Cool slightly, then pull apart and enjoy.

I just want to eat all that melty/crusty cheese that is on the pan around the edges of the bread. OH MY GAWD that is my favorite part. These look delicious!
