Just as I pulled in the drive, the rains started. I like to do my blackened dishes on the outdoor grills (either gas or the Weber) – I’ve tried in my own kitchen and nearly smoked and choked myself out of the kitchen and routinely set off the fire alarm in Hannah’s room!
We picked up two ribeyes at a butcher shop over the weekend – knowing the quality was going to be good, I just used cracked pepper and salt – its all it needed!
Upon hearing steak was on the menu, Hannah went ahead and made this:
I didn’t think I had hardly any veggies at home until I started rooting around my fridge – I never went to the grocery store this weekend so I haven’t done my weekly clean of the fridge yet – I had a lot to work with!
- radish
- red cabbage
- romaine
- iceburg lettuce
- carrots
- cucumber
- 1 ounce goat cheese
- 1 ounce sesame sticks
- 3 ounces cooked steak
- Annnie’s Goddess dressing
Dinner comes in at 448 calories, 24 fat and 29 carbs. I believe Tony cried a bit when he saw this heavenly ribeye cut up on a salad! I thought it was delicious!
I have loved reading all your comments about your motivation to exercise – I got in my 30 minute walk with Ed after the rain stopped too!

I watched 1/2 of Conan before bedtime, but I am still tired!
I love your steak salad!
Absolutely beautiful salad! Isn’t it fun to rummage through your fridge and find stuff you didn’t realize you had?? I love that you say “off to snuggle…” Nick and I are addicted to snuggles (lame, but oh so fun!)
You potato wedges look so crispy and delicious! Yum!!
Gorgeous salad!
glad the rain stopped so you guys could walk! I love steak salads 🙂
Sesame sticks! Genius!
I think you should start submitting your photos to TasteSpotting! I love that site!
That seriously looks like the perfect salad that I would design if I could have anything I wanted! Looks soooo good, Biz!
seriously…you are QUEEN of the grill!
Now that’s my kind of salad! Sorry about the rain, but at least it started after you’d gotten off the road!
I didn’t comment on the give-away post, b/c I know I wouldn’t do the Jillian dvd, so didn’t think it’d be fair! But I’ve been motivated by you and other bloggers to light a fire under my butt, esp. you posting your stats to show us IT WORKS. This past month I didn’t work out as much as I’d hoped, but the biggest thing was I lost .5 inches in my thighs! Thighs are my kryptonite, so that’s really motivating and exciting for me! 🙂
Love the salad display!!
That looks amazing! I love the addition of the sesame sticks!
