And I hope its yours too! (Since I don’t know how to link to a post, 😀 I am keeping this post on top until Monday – my newer posts will hopefully show up after this one!)
I decided to do a post to help motivate me as well as any readers I may have. Here’s the deal. Tell me what your goal is for just the month of January. I don’t want you to say you want to fit in a bikini by June, or you want to work out 2 hours a day 6 days a week. I am talking about realistic goals that you can achieve – and you have until the end of January to do it!
Here’s mine:
- drink at least 32 ounces of water each day (seriously lacking on this lately!)
- work out for 45 minutes 4 days a week (again, seriously lacking on this lately!)
- no wine during the week (I love my red wine – a bit too much I think!)
So it’s that simple. Tell me what your goals are in the comment section, let me know then if it’s okay to add you to my blog roll, and hopefully we can keep tabs on each other to make sure we are meeting our goals. Are you in??
And it’s the beginning of the month, so see my monthly giveaway below! All you need to do is post a comment and you’ll be entered. I will pick a winner on Monday, January 5.
So take your time, think about what you really want to accomplish just the month of January. It may be taking the stairs instead of the elevator. Or walking your dog every night for 20 minutes. I hope you join me! My challenge starts on Monday!
- diet log book
- water bottle
- calorie counter for travel – has over 500 fast food restaurants!
- cool gel pen
- 1001 Recipe book

- December Taste of Home Appetizer Magazine

Good Luck!
My goal: work out (or get some sort of extra activity) 3 days a week. It’s not that hard, and I know I can do it!
Feel free to add me!
What a great give away!
My ’09 goal (as just announced on my blog 😉 ): Cook new and different recipes as least once a week – no longer rely on simple things to tide me over.
My goal for January is to have a roasted vegetable meal once each week – I keep reading about roasting cauliflower, brussels sprouts, etc – now to try!
And please, add me to your blog roll – I’ll add you to mine!
Oh let’s see…clean my catch-all room….I swear I’m going to do it!
My goal is to get through Carmen Electra’s “Fit To Strip” workout video without tripping over myself.
1ST – to clear the house of all leftover junk/cookies from the holidays.
2ND – to go to each WW weight in this month and hopefully have at least a small loss each time.
3RD – get back on track with proper eating and drinking water (I aim for 2L (64 oz)
My top priority goal is to eat breakfast at least 4 times a week.
Spend less time in front of the computer.
Do something new at the gym.

I think that my main goal for Jan. is to work out 4 days each week! I am going to start a training schedule to get me into running and I REALLY want to stick to it!!
My goal is to cook and bake more 😀 I’m sick of scouring the frozen section!
WHAT a cool set of prizes! My goal is to start running outside one time per week. I teach group fitness classes and rarely find time to run and have a just for me workout! I started on January 1!
Do not rent house bunny! It was terrible! I love cheesy movies- a la Legally Blonde, but house bunny was not a good one! What a bummer!
My goal is to fit in a bikini by June or work out 2 hours a day 6 days a week.
**cue confetti as I lovelove free treats!!**
I am going to be open to all the world has to offer.
to view each day through the lens of WHAT CAN I DO TODAY WHICH SCARES ME A LITTLE AND WHICH WILL FORCE ME TO GROW.
trite? maybe. what I need? yes.
(Im gonna link you in my comments today…)
A realistic goal for me for January would be to go out on a date. I know that sounds kind of pathetic, but all I am asking for is one date and I don’t even care if it leads anywhere, I just need to get out of the house…lol….
